The idea is great...to have the power to use the skillet to serve in...is a pleasant plus. It's attractive enough to put on the desk for domestic dinners. But, the coating began to flake off after about 3 months. The skillet warmths fastly and the thermostat used to be exact. I simply wish these manufacturers might get this non-stick coating to STAY ON the skillet. Non-stick is a good plus in a electrical frypan...but, I'm searching for Calphalon to introduce an electric skillet. This was once my last buy...i've gone thru about 6 completely different skillets. I'm achieved with these for now...
